8x8 inch original mixed media painting

“Carefully Calculated" is 8x8 inches on cradled wood panel. This painting was created using several different mediums. I love the layering that happens when different things like paint, graphite, and colored pencil come together. In this piece I’ve also used bits of vintage receipts and a ledger that was found in an old building in California. Some of the writing peeks through the paint and gives it so much character.

The edges are a light pine and give the piece a crisp, finished look. It would also look great framed, if that is your preference.
