40x30 inch original mixed media painting

"Surprising Consequences" is an acrylic and mixed media painting on gallery wrapped canvas. It was painted intuitively and shows expressions of my emotions. At the time I painted it there was a cool breeze coming in the window - the start of Autumn, my favorite time of year. I could hear the cicadas and the sunset was fast approaching. Instead of thinking hard about what my next mark should be (as I often do), I let intuition take over. This painting is what comes from putting my thinking brain on hold and just letting myself “do” rather than “think.”

It was created on a 40x30 inch gallery wrapped canvas that is 1.5 inches deep. The painting is carried around the edges. Swipe through for detail shots that will give you a much better idea of the depth of this piece.
